Meet Niki

Hello, I'm Niki.

I am passionate about giving all children a voice and a way to communicate.

I completed my Bachelor of Speech Language Therapy at Massey University in 2012.

I have always known that I wanted to work with children and young people,  and Speech therapy has been a natural pathway that has allowed me to do that. I have worked in a variety of settings including Special Schools and for the Ministry of Education. Over the last ten years (give or take a couple of years off on parental leave) I have gained experience working with a range of communication disorders including articulation and phonology disorders, stuttering, language delays, AAC and social skills development. I have had the privilege of working closely with families in their homes, and teachers and support staff in early childhood centres and schools.

I live in Whangaparaoa with my husband and two little girls. We spend our time at the beach, playgrounds and library so may have bumped into you if you're a local parent. If I get a moment to myself, I enjoy reading, listening to music (that is not the Wiggles!), and walks on all our beautiful local beaches.
